Nov 2018 update http://www.ddlab.org/download/ddlab_compiled_2018/ and mirror sites ------------------------------------------------------------------- The following files (.tar.gz) contain the mac executable and GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE The alternative Mac OSX executables (32bit or 64bit) are listed below, ddlabz07_macHighSierra, MacBook macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6 (intel 64bit) ddlabz07_MacPB, cPowerBook32 OSX 10.4.11 (Motorola 32bit) (other mac compiles are available for ddlabz06) Motorola and Intel are incompatible. Use the executable that most closely matches your Mac. 32bit might run on 64bit but not vice-versa. Run DDLab from a terminal in X11, which must be installed. From the directory with the DDLab files, enter the name of the executable preceded by ./ and followed by &, for example ... ./ddlabz07_macHighSierra & Alternatively, first change directory to "ddfiles" then enter the name of the executable preceded by ../ and followed by & ../ddlabz07_macHighSierra & This will keep files generated by DDLab in the ddfiles subdirectory. Note on missing hash "#" from some mac keyboards: "#" is used for some on-the-fly options, for example, to toggle scrolling of space-time patterns. If "#" is missing from the keyboard, as in "MacBook Retina 2016", it can be made with alt(option)3, the alt or option key and key 3. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can recompile DDLab yourself from the source code using various mac Makefiles provided and the source code, available at http://www.ddlab.org/download/ddlab_code_2018/ and mirror sites. DDLab would appreciate news of alternative compiles. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
